Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN requiring circulating and total joints experience along with a compact or NH RN license.

Details

  • Work in a hospital Surgical Services Unit consisting of 2 Operating Rooms and 1 Endoscopy Suite
  • Performs orthopedic, ophthalmology, podiatry, obstetrics/gynecology, general surgery, and endoscopy procedures
  • Handles 40-50 surgical cases per week, varying by service line (1-4 or 5-12 endoscopy cases per day)
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM-4:00 PM, 36 hours per week
  • On-call requirements of 1 weekend per month and 3-4 nights per week
  • Must be willing to work or take call during the Christmas and New Year's holidays

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room experience required
  • Circulating experience required
  • Total joints experience required
  • Proficiency required in Ortho, General, Endo, Sports Medicine, Gyn, and C-Section cases
  • Scrub experience preferred but not required
  • Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
  • Operating Room skills checklist required
  • One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required

Additional Information

  • Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties in a small, critical access facility
  • Candidates must reside 50 or more miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • Permanent address must be included in candidate profile
  • RTO requests should be limited and minimized due to the critical nature of staffing at this small facility
