Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with CA licensure and prior travel assignment experience required for a 13-week contract.

Details

• Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (6:30-15:00 or 10:30-19:00)
• Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, orthopedics, neurology, vascular, general surgery, urology, robotics, and ENT procedures
• Utilizes Epic charting system
• Experience with Da Vinci Robotics and various surgical equipment preferred

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience required, 5 years preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Follows Universal Protocol (time-out) procedures and infection control standards
• Trained in emergency management including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia protocols
• Max RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at local rate
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
