Travel Nursing Job Details

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience
  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a compact state
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, surgical procedures, and patient safety standards
  • Ability to work scheduled weekday shifts and participate in an equitable call rotation

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative process
  • Prepare patients, equipment, and the operating room for surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and the broader care team
  • Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes before, during, and after procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, infection prevention protocols, and surgical safety procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered while documenting care accurately
  • Support efficient room turnover and ensure supplies and instruments are available for scheduled cases
  • Participate in call coverage and provide dependable support during urgent surgical needs
