Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a MN RN license for a 13-week assignment at a teaching hospital and Level 2 Trauma Center.

Details

• Operating Room unit in an acute care, teaching hospital with Level 2 Trauma Center designation
• Day shift (5x8 hours, 0645-1515) and evening shift (5x8 hours, 1445-2315) available with staggered start times of 0645, 0845, 1100, and 1445
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby may be required
• Epic/Excellian charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active or pending Minnesota RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Minimum 1 year experience in specialty typically required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 supervisor reference required
• Date of birth, SSN, copy of certifications, and Nursys verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a variety of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurology, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, urology, ENT, and thoracic procedures
• Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical System is valued
• Knowledge of emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered, with no local radius exceptions for this position
• Former perm staff or per diem employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
• Pre-start modules are required to be completed prior to the assignment start date
• References are not provided by the facility to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
