Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with DaVinci robotics and vascular case proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a regional hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week
• On-call requirements of 1 night per week and up to 1 weekend per month
• Holiday rotation required, including 1-2 of 3 winter holidays unless unit is closed
• Uses Epic EMR
• Robotics equipment includes DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa systems
• Compact RN license accepted

Requirements

• Active RN license (IA single-state or compact/multistate)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from AHA or ARC
• Minimum 24 months of current Operating Room experience required
• Proficient experience in DaVinci robotics required
• Proficient experience in vascular cases required (TCAR, TAVR, bypass, endarterectomy, embolectomy, AV fistula)
• Proficient experience in general surgery required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Spine surgery experience preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• Travel experience within the previous 15 months required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties supporting a variety of surgical specialties including robotics, vascular, and general surgery cases
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Prior UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments at any UPH market facility within 12 months of separation
• Limited time-off requests permitted during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday periods
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
