- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,370 - $2,500
- Call: Rotation required
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- At least 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
- CNOR strongly preferred
- ACLS required upon hire, or active BLS with AHA ACLS obtained within 60 days of hire
- Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience in perioperative nursing, surgical services, or acute care nursing preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the surgical experience
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and other healthcare team members
- Maintain sterile technique and support the preparation and handling of supplies, instruments, and equipment
- Verify patient identity, consent, procedure, and surgical site before transport to the OR
- Assist with patient positioning, transfer, and body mechanics to promote safety and comfort
- Monitor sponge, needle, and instrument counts and follow established perioperative procedures
- Safely administer medications and IV therapy in accordance with orders, policies, and protocols
- Document care thoroughly and communicate clearly to support continuity of care
- Promote a respectful, patient-centered environment focused on dignity, safety, and teamwork
