• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Monday through Friday with call; average of 3-6 call days in a 28-day cycle
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,350 - $2,470
• Setting: Surgical Services / Operating Room
• Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Charting System: Cerner experience preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required before start date; pending license may be accepted with submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Experience in perioperative nursing and surgical services preferred
• General surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, trauma, and ENT experience preferred
• Pediatric OR experience preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Ability to work call coverage and some holidays as needed
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills in a surgical environment
• Must meet travel compliance requirements, including documentation deadlines and pre-start screening

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in the Operating Room across a variety of surgical cases
• Support safe, efficient patient flow before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare the OR for cases, maintain sterile technique, and assist with surgical counts and instrument management
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members
• Circulate and/or scrub for cases based on department needs and clinical competence
• Monitor patients throughout the surgical process and respond quickly to changing clinical needs
• Participate in call coverage and weekend rotations as assigned
• Deliver high-quality patient care while helping maintain a calm, organized, and patient-centered surgical environment
