• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Schedule: 40 hours per week; approximately 5 shifts per week
• Additional Scheduling Needs: Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,320 - $2,440

Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• At least 1 year of recent registered nurse experience required
• Operating Room RN or perioperative nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
• Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
• Experience with safe patient handling and use of lifts
• Ability to respond professionally in stressful situations
• Charge nurse, precepting, or leadership experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in the operating room
• Monitor patient needs before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Maintain a safe, sterile, and aseptic surgical environment
• Support surgical teams with knowledge of OR instruments and clinical equipment
• Recognize and respond to patient safety concerns promptly
• Assist with patient assessment, teaching, and support as needed
• Interpret lethal dysrhythmias and escalate concerns appropriately
• Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills
• May be asked to serve in a charge nurse capacity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent patient care
