Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Nursing)

Job Overview

The position of Registered Nurse in the Operating Room is critical for delivering high-quality patient care in a surgical environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients during procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the operating room setting.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage anesthesia as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to develop and implement individual care plans.
• Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as determined by unit needs.

Shift Information

This position requires working day shifts of 36 hours per week, comprising three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

On-Call Requirements

On-call duty is required, based on the rotation dictated by unit needs. The baseline call duty includes approximately one day every other week and one weekend call shift per month. Additional call assignments may be necessary depending on operational demands.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous travel experience in nursing is required.
