Shift: Rotating shifts – two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or as needed
Call Requirement: Rotating call, primarily on weekends. Weekday overnight call is possible but unlikely.
Local Rate: $54.00/hour
Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility.
Orientation: Biweekly on Tuesdays
Job Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Operating Room.
- Assist with surgical procedures across various specialties, including orthopedics.
- Deliver safe, effective perioperative nursing care to patients of all ages.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
- Float to other areas within the nurse's scope of practice when required.
- Participate in rotating call schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Virginia RN license or applicable authorization to practice in Virginia.
- 2+ years of experience preferred/required as specified in the hiring profile.
- Orthopedic (Ortho) experience required.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, and NIH.
- All required certifications must be completed before the start date.
- Must consent to random drug screening and complete the Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form.
