Job Summary: 
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide comprehensive perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The RN will work closely with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure patient safety, maintain sterile techniques, and deliver quality care throughout the surgical process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Circulate in the operating room and assist surgical teams as needed.
  • Monitor patient condition and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for surgeries.
  • Assist with general, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, trauma, and other surgical procedures.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and follow infection control protocols.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients during procedures.
  • Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Respond to emergencies and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and weekend rotations as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience.
  • Active Alaska RN license required for Auto Offer.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS and CNOR preferred.
  • Experience with circulating required.
  • Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred.
  • Must have experience in a hospital operating room setting.
  • First-time travelers are not accepted.
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility.
