Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with 2+ years of OR experience, Epic proficiency, and a KY or compact RN license for a surgical services position.

Details

• Surgical Services department providing OR nursing care
• Wide variety of surgical cases
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule from 6:30am to 5:00pm, four 10-hour shifts per week
• On-call responsibilities of approximately 30 hours per 6 weeks
• Weekend coverage required approximately once every 10 weeks

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of acute care OR RN experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the OR
• Supervises and mentors licensed and non-licensed staff members
• Provides patient and family education throughout the surgical care process
• Participates in quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care needs
