Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a seasonal travel assignment requiring at least one year of acute care OR experience, BLS/ACLS certification, and an active CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Main Operating Room unit within a 284-bed hospital
- 284-bed facility with approximately 55 OR staff
- Day shift staffing includes 1 Charge RN, 1 Trauma RN, and 1 Trauma Tech (can vary)
- Night shift staffing includes 1 RN, 1 Tech, plus 2 on-call RNs and 2 on-call Techs
- Estimated patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 (not guaranteed)
- Uses DaVinci Robotics equipment
- EMR system is Meditech / CPN
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- On-call required from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday through Friday with a 30-minute response time, no overnight call required
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care OR RN experience required
- Trauma and Neuro procedure experience preferred
- Vascular/Hybrid OR procedure experience preferred
- Robotics experience highly preferred and given priority
- Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Experience in large trauma OR facilities preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

- Performs vascular/hybrid, trauma, and neuro surgical procedures
- Works alongside a team supporting trauma and robotic surgery cases
- Best suited for self-motivated candidates with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Facility does not accept local candidates and enforces a 50-mile radius rule with no exceptions
