Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in trauma and the ability to scrub for various cases.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care in the operating room, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Assist in surgical procedures by providing scrubbing support.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate successful patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families on pre-operative and post-operative care.
Location
Position located in a region with a trauma level 1 facility.
Schedule
- Shifts are available Tuesday to Thursday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
- Weekend shifts are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Required Qualifications
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
- Experience in trauma care is essential.
- Ability to scrub in for various surgical procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Orientation
Successful candidates are expected to be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are delivered remotely.
Cancellation Policy
The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment and up to 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.
Charting System
The charting system in use is EPIC.
Dress Code
Scrub colors and dress code will be provided upon hiring.
Floating Requirements
No floating is required for this position.
