Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a rotating evening/night shift position at a Level 1 trauma academic medical center requiring 5+ years of hospital-based OR experience.

Details

• Work in the 6K Operating Room unit of a hospital setting
• Scrub and circulate duties required, though circulate-only applicants will also be considered
• 12-hour rotating evening/night shift schedule, 1430-0300
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Off-shift (evenings/nights/weekends) staff should be prepared to cover all service lines including pediatrics and eyes
• Day shift staff should be well-rounded across ortho (joint and trauma), neuro (crani and spine), plastics/burn, gen/trauma, colorectal, surgical oncology, gyn, gyn oncology, urology, robotics, CV, thoracic, vascular, and transplant

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• 5+ years of Operating Room nursing experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma center and academic medical center experience required
• Surgery center experience does not count toward required years of experience
• Must provide trauma level, EMR, and bed count information for consideration
• Work history gaps over 30 days must be explained
• Two references dated within the last 12 months required
• Skills checklist dated within the last 12 months required

Additional Information

• Perform scrub and/or circulate duties across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Floating within the hospital may be expected for day shift staff
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
