Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Operating Room Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 2 years of circulating OR experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Work within the OR Float Pool at a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital
• 56-bed OR serving inpatient and outpatient needs plus 5 procedural rooms
• Patient population includes all adult service lines except cardiac, transplant, trauma/neuro, with case types spanning neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant, robotic, hybrid rooms, ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• Adult patients only; no pediatric cases as Children's Hospital OR is a separate unit
• 12-hour day shift scheduled 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM with variable weekday scheduling and no block schedule option
• Late stay required, with up to four late stays expected per 13-week period
• May float between operating rooms but not between facility locations
• 36 hours per week over a 26-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required on file at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of circulating OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Scrub experience not required

Additional Information

• Provide circulating RN support across a wide variety of surgical case types in a Level 1 trauma OR setting
• Limited time off approved during the contract; expected to work 2 of 3 holidays
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a lower rate
• Radius rate rules apply for positions within 74.9 miles
