Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and pediatric surgical experience.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the Operating Room
• Day shift, 4x10 hours, with flexibility required between 0700-1530 and 0900-1730 start times
• Circulating role covering General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Brachytherapy, Breast, Plastics, Max Face, ENT, Eyes, General, Hematology/Oncology, and Ortho cases
• Caseload mix of 40% inpatient and 60% outpatient, with 20% pediatric cases
• May float to Main OR
• No weekend shifts, but call coverage required on Saturdays
• Call requirements include 2 weekday and 1 weekend call shift per 6-week schedule (Mon-Thu 5pm-9pm, Fri 5pm-11pm, Sat 7am-7pm)
• Must be within 30 minutes travel time for call-back or shift extension
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Pediatric surgical experience required
• Must have skillset in General, GYN, Breast, ENT, Urology, and Pediatric surgery
• Experience with blood/blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, drains, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted if they meet the experience requirements
• Circulate a variety of surgical specialties in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Former permanent employees of other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) may be eligible for this travel contract if separated for at least 3 months and living outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Limited RTO accepted, up to 3 days; no holiday RTO permitted
• Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as needed
