Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring an active AK RN license and 2+ years of OR experience with mandatory call coverage.

Details

Operating Room setting handling a wide variety of surgical cases including General, GYN, Urology, Robotics (Da Vinci) in Gen/GYN/Urology, Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Podiatry, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Eyes, and Trauma
10-hour rotating day shifts, Monday through Friday, 07:00-17:30
Weekend work required for call coverage
Holiday work required for call coverage
Mandatory on-call requirement
Occasional floating to Endoscopy

Requirements

Active AK RN license required
Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of OR experience required, 5+ years preferred
New graduates will not be considered
Reliable transportation required

Additional Information

Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties in a trauma-capable OR environment
One-bedroom housing for a single occupant is provided; pets are not permitted
A vehicle is recommended, as winter walking conditions are not advised
Fingerprints must be mailed to the Alaska Department of Health and Services within 48 hours of offer acceptance
