  • Position: Travel Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR RN)
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
  • Start Date: 10/19/2026
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour nights
  • Schedule: Friday through Sunday, 3 shifts per week
  • Hours Per Week: 36
  • Call: No call required
  • Orientation: 40 hours
  • Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
  • Charting: Allscripts experience preferred; Altera experience preferred
  • Work Environment: Collaborative surgical setting with interdisciplinary support

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in hand at the time of submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
  • Craniotomy and burr hole experience required
  • Experience in neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotic surgery preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
  • Certifications preferred: ACLS, BLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
  • Ability to work nights and maintain a high standard of patient safety and perioperative support
  • Must be available to complete required labs within 72 hours of accepting the offer
  • Resume and certification verification required with submission
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for a variety of surgical cases
  • Assist with neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotic procedures
  • Support surgeons and the OR team during complex procedures, including craniotomy and burr hole cases
  • Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care throughout the surgical process
  • Maintain attention to detail in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote excellent patient outcomes
  • Follow unit protocols, documentation standards, and patient safety practices
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture in a busy Texas healthcare setting
