Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a hospital-based OR position requiring recent surgical experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Call requirements to be discussed during interview
• Block scheduling not guaranteed
• May float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN state or NLC-compliant compact license) required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience with prior travel assignment, or 3 years of recent OR experience without travel history
• Transplant experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• BSN not required; ADN accepted for this position
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment

Additional Information

• Perform surgical nursing duties within the Operating Room
• Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• RTO must be submitted at time of initial consideration and will not be honored if submitted after an offer
