Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of experience and ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.

Details

• Operating room setting performing scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures
• 13-week assignment with 8-hour shifts scheduled 0630-1500
• On-call requirement of 7 call shifts over a six-week period, including 3 weekend and 4 weekday shifts
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of prior OR experience in a US hospital required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, PALS, and BLS (AHA only)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Responsible for department admissions to the operative suite and adherence to standards and aseptic techniques
• Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
• Serves as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the operating team
• Prepares the operating room for patients and surgical procedures
• Assembles equipment and supplies, ensuring functionality and availability of implants
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
