Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring circulating duties across multiple surgical service lines and call coverage.

Details

  • Operating Room unit supporting General, Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, and other surgical service lines
  • 13-week assignment with a 09:00-19:30 shift schedule
  • Weekend work required
  • Participation in assigned on-call rotation required
  • Performs circulating duties efficiently across varied surgical procedures

Requirements

  • Active SC or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification (AHA only) required
  • ACLS certification (AHA only) required
  • Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
  • Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
  • Computer skills for utilizing patient care documentation programs

Additional Information

  • Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical exam, and diagnostic data analysis
  • Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team members while executing urgent interventions as needed
  • Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification and accurate, timely documentation of care
  • Prep the operating room and position/prepare patients for procedures
  • Serve as communication liaison between surgical team and patient families
  • Assist with control and maintenance of OR supplies and equipment
  • Flexibility to work within various surgical service lines is required
