Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a TX or compact license and at least 1 year of OR experience for a hospital surgical unit.

Details

  • Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
  • Handles a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, neurology, general surgery, orthopedic, endoscopic, urology, bariatric, ENT, and thoracic procedures
  • Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts with a rotating day off (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
  • Call responsibilities required
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active RN license (TX state or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Trauma setting experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Assists with a broad range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties in the OR
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Previous staff must be separated from facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler and must be re-approved by the facility
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates within this radius are not accepted
