Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. The candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Operating Room setting. This role involves working with a professional team to ensure optimal patient outcomes during surgical procedures.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 7
• Staffing: 3 staff members per shift
• Day Shift: 1 RN and 2 CSTs
• Night Shift: No staffing requirements
• Patient Ratios: 4 to 5 cases per team
• On Call Requirement: 4 to 5 call days per month
• Floating Requirement: Staff may be shared between multiple locations within the region

Qualifications

• Must Have:
  • Experience as an RN Circulator with the ability to position patients, prep for surgery, and monitor equipment during procedures
• Preferred:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Circulator
  • Experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with skills in Ortho, Plastics, and Podiatry

• Total Joint Procedures
• Hip Replacements
• Tibia and Fibula Surgeries
• Ankle and Foot Procedures
• Plastic Surgeries including Breast Reductions and Reconstructive Procedures
• Robotic Surgical Procedures including XI and DV5 techniques

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to participate in trauma call as needed. Experience working as part of a cohesive team is essential.

Additional Information

All employees in surgical services possess extensive experience, with team members having been part of the unit for three years or more. This offers a collaborative and knowledgeable environment for all staff members.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for 6-7 days of work including one weekend per month, with options for either three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts.
