Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: New Albany, Ohio
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Assignment Dates: October 25, 2026–January 23, 2027
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room and perioperative services
• Position Type: On-site, full-time contract assignment
• Scheduling Note: Assignment hours may be adjusted based on operational needs. Nurses may be reassigned to an open shift or floated to another appropriate unit or care site when needed.

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience in an operating room or perioperative setting
• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Ohio
• Demonstrated knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, surgical safety, and sterile technique
• Strong assessment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team
• Ability to complete required credentialing, competency verification, background screening, and health documentation before placement

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Prepare the operating room, supplies, equipment, and patient care environment for scheduled procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, surgical safety protocols, and infection-prevention standards
• Monitor patient condition, identify changes promptly, and communicate concerns to the appropriate clinical team members
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary surgical team to promote efficient workflow and positive patient outcomes
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, specimens, and patient responses in accordance with clinical standards
• Advocate for patient safety, dignity, comfort, and informed care throughout the surgical experience
• Adapt to changing census and operational needs, including floating or reassignment when appropriate
