Operating Room Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a surgical environment. The role requires strong critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership abilities. The Operating Room Nurse will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical teams, and other healthcare personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Anticipate and plan for patient care in the operating room, adhering to state nursing practice regulations and standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure the availability and readiness of surgical supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with families regarding patient care and procedural updates.
• Update and manage physician preference cards for surgical procedures.
• Assist in scrubbing and supporting physicians during surgical cases.
• Supervise and coordinate patient care delivered by other healthcare personnel in the operating room.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
• Proficient in Robotics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Obstetrics/Gynecology.
• Experience with c-section procedures is mandatory.

Work Schedule

• Shifts may include 4x10 hour days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 5x8 hour days from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Availability for on-call duties will be required, including first and second calls, as well as weekend rotation every six weeks.
