Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a 10-OR surgical suite with a 1:1 patient ratio across a range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, robotics, gynecology, urology, vascular, endovascular, and neuro/spine procedures
  • Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including a DaVinci Robot, Endovascular Suite, Neurospine microscope, and hysteroscopy pump
  • Collaborate with a team of RNs, Surgical Technologists, and Unlicensed Assistants to ensure safe, high-quality perioperative care
  • Participate in assigned stay-late call coverage during the week and occasional Friday/Saturday overnight call; holiday call on a PRN basis
  • Document patient care accurately using the Altera EMR system
  • Maintain current ACLS certification throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Hampshire or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR RN
  • Demonstrated experience with orthopedics, total joints, general surgery, robotics, basic endovascular skills, urology, and neuro/spine procedures
  • ACLS certification required
  • Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to the Altera EMR system

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Neuro/spine surgical experience strongly preferred, particularly for call coverage needs
  • Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, including DaVinci systems
  • Comfort with on-call scheduling and ability to respond to varying surgical demands
