Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with strong ortho, neuro, and robotics experience for a 13-week assignment requiring Meditech proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 20-room Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Team structure includes Director, Charge RN, OR Coordinators, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and CRNAs
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses sterile accessories, circulator equipment, sponges, gowning, gloving, tubing, cords, and specialty surgical tools
• Procedures include Robotics/Da Vinci, SP, DV5, Mako, Stealth (Neuro), burn cases, cysto fluid management, GI tower system, endo, laparoscopic, ENT, Eye, Trauma 1 (peds and adults), and endovascular hybrid procedures
• Requires Meditech documentation experience
• Day shift schedule 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Call requirements include 2 weekend shifts (8hrs), 4 evening shifts (4hrs), and 1 overnight shift (8hrs) per month
• Float required among different OR specialties

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years current experience in an acute hospital setting (surgical center experience not accepted)
• Strong ortho, neuro, and robotics experience required
• Meditech documentation system experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Prepare operating rooms, arrange equipment, and assist physicians during surgeries
• Maintain a 30-minute turnaround time between cases
• Inspect, maintain, decontaminate, and repair surgical equipment, including inventory recordkeeping
• Perform pre- and post-surgical patient care including shaving, transporting, and applying dressings
• Scrubs provided in ciel blue color; candidates must bring their own lock and working shoes
• 428-bed facility recognized as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center with the American Heart Gold Plus Achievement Award
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
