Travel Nursing Job Details

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
• Strong orthopedic surgical and perioperative nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse license in Florida or a valid compact-state license at the time of submission
• Active license verification available through Nursys
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Degree accreditation documented in the professional profile, or at least 5 years of applicable nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Flexibility to float to other operating rooms as needed

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the perioperative process
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, supplies, and patients for procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the broader surgical care team
• Support orthopedic and other surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique
• Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to changes during the surgical experience
• Complete accurate documentation in the Epic electronic medical record
• Participate in required call coverage and maintain readiness for urgent surgical needs
• Adapt to workflow needs and provide coverage in other operating rooms when required
