Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring FL or compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, PALS, and Cerner EMR experience.
Details
- Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
- Service lines include General, Urology, Spine, GYN, Ortho, Plastics, Breasts, and Robotics
- Days shift schedule (4x10s), 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Call and holiday coverage required
- Float between campuses as needed
- Uses Cerner EMR
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- AHCA fingerprinting clearance required prior to start
- No certifications expiring within first 30 days of start
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning patient care in the operating room
- Work as part of the surgical team with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and ORTs
- Responsibilities include ensuring supplies, timeliness of cases, communication with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical cases, and supervising personnel delivering patient care
- Must adhere to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Not eligible if previously worked at this health system as permanent staff within the past 2 years
- RTO requests must be less than 1 week
