Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a day-shift travel position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and multiple surgical service line expertise.

Details

• Operating Room department in a hospital setting
• Service lines include General, Urology, Spine, GYN, Ortho, Plastics, Breasts, and Robotics
• Day shift schedule (4x10s), 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Call coverage and holiday coverage required
• Float between campuses as needed

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• 2+ years of recent OR nursing experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• AHCA fingerprinting clearance required prior to start
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Active driver's license and US SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Serve as a member of the surgical team, working alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and ORTs to provide patient care in accordance with AORN and regulatory standards
• Responsibilities include ensuring supplies, maintaining case timeliness, communicating with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting during surgical cases, and supervising care delivery personnel
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than one week
