- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
- Schedule: On-call and holiday coverage required
- Orientation: 80 hours
- Charting System: Epic experience required
- Scrubs: Provided
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
- Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
- Active Texas RN license or compact RN license
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong clinical skills in the perioperative setting
- Ability to support pediatric, adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical workflow
- Prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgical team during procedures
- Assist with a broad range of surgical cases, including general surgery, orthopedics, robotics, ENT, gynecology, urology, spine, and trauma
- Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary support staff
- Document accurately and efficiently using Epic charting workflows
- Maintain compliance with unit standards, safety protocols, and universal procedures
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on excellent patient outcomes
