  • Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Shifts per Week: 3
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
  • Schedule: On-call and holiday coverage required
  • Orientation: 80 hours
  • Charting System: Epic experience required
  • Scrubs: Provided

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
  • Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
  • Active Texas RN license or compact RN license
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Strong clinical skills in the perioperative setting
  • Ability to support pediatric, adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical workflow
  • Prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgical team during procedures
  • Assist with a broad range of surgical cases, including general surgery, orthopedics, robotics, ENT, gynecology, urology, spine, and trauma
  • Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary support staff
  • Document accurately and efficiently using Epic charting workflows
  • Maintain compliance with unit standards, safety protocols, and universal procedures
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on excellent patient outcomes
