Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma OR experience with specialization in ortho, neuro/spine, robotics, plastics, or trauma.

Details

• Work in a Level 1 trauma Operating Room within a hospital setting
• 23-bed unit staffed by 85+ team members including charge nurses, coordinators, nurse managers, RNs, CSTs, OR assistants, and anesthesia techs
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Performs procedures in neuro/spine, orthopedics (trauma, total joint, revisions), robotics (gyn, colorectal, thoracic, urology), plastics, and Level 1 trauma
• Night shift schedule Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• No floating required
• No call required for night shift, though department is staffed 24/7 with call requirements for other shifts
• 10 and 12 hour shift options available

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required
• Experience in orthopedics, neuro/spine, robotics, plastics, or trauma required for consideration
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted, must not expire within first 30 days of start)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)

Additional Information

• Ceil blue or Royal blue scrub attire required for nurses
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• One professional reference required
