Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room Circulator position requiring 2+ years of ortho and neuro circulating experience and IL RN licensure.

Details

  • Operating Room setting, circulating role
  • Day shift, 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, 40 hours/week
  • On-call rotation required for evenings, overnights, and weekends
  • Weekend work required for call only
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • Floating is unlikely

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
  • Minimum 2+ years of circulating experience in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery required
  • 4+ years of experience preferred
  • Scrub experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
  • New graduates will not be considered
  • Two current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge in the relevant area within the last year required
  • At least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

  • Circulate cases within the Operating Room, supporting Orthopedic and Neuro procedures
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away for at least 12 months to be considered as a traveler
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
  • Candidates will participate in a brief facility interview as part of the hiring process
