Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week day shift contract requiring at least 2 years of OR experience with Ortho, General, and Robotics-DaVinci cases.
Details
- Operating Room setting handling Ortho, General, and Robotics-DaVinci surgical cases
- Day shift, 10-12 hour shifts from 06:30-17:00 or 06:30-19:00
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements, though volunteering is welcomed
- 30-minute lunch required
- 4 hours of non-billable orientation
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
- Experience with Ortho, General, and Robotics-DaVinci surgical cases required
- Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
- At least 1 successfully completed travel contract required
- Scrub experience preferred
- Full SSN required for consideration
- 2 current supervisor/manager/charge references from the last year required
- At least one travel reference preferred
Additional Information
- No holiday coverage required
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
- RTO maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
- Hospital conducts a brief 10-15 minute interview as part of the hiring process
