This position involves supporting open heart surgery teams, with a focus on coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), robotic, and laparoscopic lung procedures. The role requires collaborating in a high-volume surgical environment and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Location: 1086 Franklin Street, Johnstown, PA 15905
  • Schedule: Days shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Shift Hours: 8 hours per day
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
  • Start Date: 09/07/2026
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Certifications: Certified First Surgical Assistant (CFA)
    • Education: Not specified
    • Experience: Preferred 2+ years scrubbing and first assisting in open heart procedures, including CABG on and off pump, robotic, and laparoscopic lungs
    • Location Requirements: Candidates must be 60 miles or greater from the facility
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in cardiothoracic surgery assisting
  • Additional Information:
    • Must have complete and clear screening prior to start
    • Orientation conducted weekly on Mondays
    • Float to main operating room when no cardiothoracic cases are scheduled
    • Dress code: Scrub color is blue (provided)
    • No unacceptable attire specified
