Job Summary:
The Certified First Surgical Assistant is valued for their expertise in assisting during surgical procedures across various specialties including robotics, neurosurgery, general surgery, plastics, and urology. This position is based in a 16-operating-room unit with a team-oriented environment, primarily working day shifts. The role involves supporting surgical teams with established OR equipment and procedures while adhering to hospital standards and safety protocols.

Job Details:

Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Virginia License; experience in robotic surgeries or orthopedic procedures; clinical experience in neuro/spine surgeries.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with procedures in neurosurgery, plastics, urology, and orthopedics is advantageous.
Additional Information: The role includes standard responsibilities for assisting with surgeries, maintaining OR sterility, and supporting surgical teams. Call rotation averages 2 shifts per week, including weekday nights and weekends. The position requires wearing hospital-provided scrubs. No floating areas are involved.
