Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) in a facility setting. This position involves providing specialized support in the operating room, with an emphasis on vascular skills, and requires the maintenance of a solid knowledge base across multiple surgical disciplines. The role includes call responsibilities, weekend shifts on a rotating basis, and working during major holidays, ensuring comprehensive clinical support within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The assignment starts on 10/19/2026 and concludes on 04/18/2027.
- Required Qualifications:
- Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- Close to 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Technician
- Vascular skills are a must
- BLS certification is required, CNOR preferred
- Prior travel experience is preferred
- Work history needs to include similar-sized facilities, trauma II or higher level trauma experience
- Solid knowledge in ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, neuro fields
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- IVS to offer
- Work days include Monday through Sunday with no block schedules
- Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
- Must explain all employment gaps over 90 days in work history
- Complete work history information (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) required for submission
- Disclaimers: Reliable transportation required due to limited public transportation; personal or rental vehicles with all-season or snow tires recommended during November through April.
