Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Technician opportunity is based in Anchorage, Alaska. This position involves providing surgical support in a busy hospital environment, primarily working during night shifts. The role requires working with specialized equipment, including Xi robotic systems, and supporting a variety of complex procedures with a focus on total joints and neuro cases.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, totaling 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 3 years of experience, and relevant experience in orthopedic or neurooperative procedures involving Da Vinci Xi robotic systems.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and Xi robotic cases including gynecology, colorectal, and general surgeries. A positive outlook and teamwork willingness are highly valued.
  • Additional Information: On-call responsibilities are required, typically about 5-6 shifts per month, including weekends. The position involves working with a variety of OR beds and equipment, supporting a unit that performs complex surgical procedures with mostly patient-to-staff ratios of 1:1. Scrubs are provided by the facility, and the work environment emphasizes safety and teamwork.
