Job Summary:
The operating room surgical technician (ORT) position is located in fullerton, California. This role involves supporting a busy main operating room and a surgical center, handling a variety of cases including orthopedic, neuro, spine robotics, general, gynecology, urology, vascular, cardiothoracic, ENT, plastics, and retinal surgeries. The technician will assist with room staffing, provide breaks, and support a dynamic surgical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of acute care surgical technician experience, California license (must be in hand), BLS certification, CST certification, NBSTSA certification, and possess at least 5 years of experience if first-time traveler.
- Preferred Qualifications: Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery training, total joint experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to Plaza Surgery Center as needed.
- Additional Information:
- Willingness to work weekends and cover call shifts as needed, including post-shift, night, weekend, and holiday call.
- Candidates must be open to working a flexible schedule, with potential floating between facilities within the state.
- Must include responses to pre-screen questions regarding prior employment at a facility, recent fire card, and references.
- Travel compliance documentation, including SSN and DOB, is required at submission.
- RTO restrictions apply, with a maximum of 7 days allowed without delaying offer.
- Candidates should be prepared to work during holidays and be flexible with scheduling needs.
