Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with circulating Ortho and Neuro experience for a hospital contract position in Elmhurst, IL.

Details

  • Operating Room setting within a hospital
  • Circulating role for Orthopedic and Neurosurgical cases
  • Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, 40 hours/week
  • 16-week contract assignment
  • On-call rotation required covering evenings, overnights, and weekends
  • Weekend requirement limited to on-call only
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • Floating unlikely

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
  • Minimum 2+ years of circulating OR experience in Ortho and Neuro required, 4+ years preferred
  • New graduates not accepted
  • Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
  • Two current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge nurse in the relevant area, dated within the last year
  • At least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

  • Perform circulating duties for Orthopedic and Neurosurgical operating room cases
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month gap in employment to be considered as a traveler
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
  • Facility conducts a brief 10-15 minute interview prior to placement
