40 hours- mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts. Call required. Call is roughly three weeknights a month 5p-7a and one weekend day a month Saturday or Sunday 7a-7a. The Operating Room Registered Nurse performs the role of Circulating Nurse while functioning as a patient advocate for the anesthetized patient. The OR RN is responsible for providing safe and effective care to the surgical patient while meeting their physiologic and functional needs. The OR RN interacts with those within any of the following populations: pre-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, and with those of adult age on an inter-disciplinary level; he or she must be able to effectively interact appropriate to individual's intellectual level and physical ability. Current American Heart Association BLS certification required ACLS certification required. PALS required One (1) to three (3) years Operating Room experience required
