Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a hospital setting. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care tailored to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The OR Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager or Director and plays a pivotal part in coordinating patient care, ensuring adherence to professional standards, and supporting surgical teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA or ARC); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); at least 1 year of nursing experience; previous operating room experience with circulating skills for C-sections; ability to perform OB triage.
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Additional Information: Must have completed current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN or GE. Candidates should have previous experience in Labor & Delivery operating room, including circulating C-section procedures, and triage for obstetric patients.
