Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room. Provides safe, individualized, and therapeutic care to patients and families across the nursing process. The role promotes quality outcomes, advocates for patients and families, coordinates with the healthcare team, and supports care delivery in complex or high-risk clinical situations.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license; Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification; at least three years of recent experience working in a Registered Nurse (RN) role, including at least two years of recent experience in a specialty area.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Assess patient and family needs; develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care; provide age- and culturally appropriate nursing interventions; document patient responses; identify and address educational needs; advocate for patient and family participation in care decisions; delegate care within team members scope of practice; coordinate care with healthcare professionals and ancillary staff; participate in patient care conferences; and promote safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient outcomes.
- Additional Information: Charge Registered Nurse coverage includes two day shifts and two night shifts. Variable on-call coverage includes one on-call shift during a two-week scheduling period. A completed Operating Room Registered Nurse questionnaire is required.
