Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Located in the healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care for surgical patients. The role includes circulating during heavy orthopedic, urology, spine procedures, and robotic surgeries, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Description: 10-hour shifts, four days per week, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with call responsibilities including one weeknight and two weekend days per month, potentially more depending on departmental needs. The RN may be required to float to other facilities as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Illinois Registered Nurse license, current CPR/BLS Card, ACLS certification, at least 1 year of OR nursing experience, and verification that the RN can circulate during procedures.
- Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The role involves assessing patients physical, mental, and spiritual needs, implementing and evaluating individual care plans, and contributing to a healthy workplace environment through professional communication. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and experience with heavy orthopedic, urology, spine, robotic, and circulatory procedures is preferred. Continuing education participation and maintaining complete medical records are required.
