Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy surgical environment with a focus on general case procedures. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of operating room experience and hold current BLS certification. The position requires working dayshift hours with a schedule of eight hours per day and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Shift: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of operating room experience, BLS certification, and current licensure in Wisconsin
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro, ENT, spine, cranial, orthopedic, general, and robotic surgeries; familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system and Alaris IV pumps
- Additional Information:
- Orientation is approximately 1 to 1.5 weeks, depending on team and shift needs
- No weekend rotation required; on-call responsibilities include shifts with a 30-minute response time
- Holiday work permitted with flexible scheduling options, including working four 10-hour shifts during holiday weeks or taking time off without pay
- Scrub color provided; proactive communication with the hiring supervisor is recommended for specific scheduling or holiday needs
