Job Summary
Registered Nurse Operating Room. This position supports operative care in an acute-care setting, with responsibilities including circulating, surgical-site preparation, patient positioning, catheter insertion, sterile-supply management, and operative documentation. The role requires strong experience with neurological, orthopedic, general, gynecological, urological, laparoscopic, and navigated surgical procedures.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure in North Dakota or a compact state; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 2 years of recent Operating Room registered nursing experience; experience with general surgical, gynecological, urological, laparoscopic, neurological, and orthopedic procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic-assisted surgery systems and navigation technology.
- Schedule: Evening shifts from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week; call coverage 12 days per week and every 34 weekends.
- Additional Information: Provides circulating nursing care in the operative setting, including sterile preparation of surgical sites, catheter insertion, opening sterile supplies, patient positioning, electronic documentation, and setup or operation of surgical equipment. The role supports approximately 25 operating room suites and may involve a 1:1 nurse-to-patient assignment. Experience in a large acute-care facility with Level I trauma services and multiple operating room suites is required. Outpatient-only experience does not meet the role requirements.
