Medlivo is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Garden City, Kansas.
Minimum 2+ years recent RN experience in Operating Room required / CERTIFICATIONS – BLS (AHA) required / LICENSE – Active RN License required / Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, 40 hrs/week, 13 weeks (Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM) with required evening, weekend, and holiday call / Setting: Acute Care – Operating Room / EMR: EPIC / Skills: Perioperative nursing, circulating in the OR, sterile technique, surgical patient assessment, intraoperative documentation, and collaboration with the surgical team required; Robot-assisted surgery and GI experience preferred / Unit Details: 4 Operating Rooms and 1 GI Endoscopy Room; approximately 10 cases per day / Common Cases: Robotic and laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, appendectomies, basic orthopedic procedures, gynecology, podiatry, and GI endoscopy / Scrubbing: RN scrubbing not required / Support Staff: Dedicated Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, OR Tech, and First Assist available; travelers will not function as Charge Nurse / Call Requirement: Weeknight call 3:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekend call 7:00 AM–7:00 AM; holiday call required; 30-minute response time / Floating: No floating outside the OR; may float within Zone 4 (St. Catherine Garden City, St. Catherine Dodge City, and Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital) only if there is an extreme need / Orientation: Unit-specific competency checklist with staff support until comfortable / Scrubs: Hospital-provided Ceil Blue scrubs / Additional: Candidates must be available for call rotation and comfortable working in a busy OR with a variety of general, orthopedic, gynecologic, GI, and robotic surgical procedures.
