Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license, minimum 2.5 years of OR experience, BLS certification required, CNOR certification preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Cerner charting system experience, Level I trauma experience, experience with laparoscopic assisted cases, general, trauma, orthopedics, plastic surgery, transplant, and urology procedures, including specific skills such as cervical fusion, craniotomy, amputation, and organ donation.
  • Additional Information: Will work with all service lines except cardiovascular. Must handle cases including laparoscopic, general surgery, trauma, orthopedic, plastic, transplant, and urology. Capable of managing emergency situations, including code response, fire safety, and managing latex allergies and malignant hyperthermia. Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana tables, and other specialized surgical equipment required. The role supports a level I trauma center and includes participation in on-call duties once weekly.
