Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Specialty Nurse in Santa Rosa, California. This position involves providing skilled perioperative care in a busy acute care hospital setting. The nurse will be responsible for supporting trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures, with the potential to cover a night shift as needed. The role requires adaptability and experience across a variety of surgical disciplines.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a weekly minimum of 36 hours; shifts start at 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM.
  • Required Qualifications: 3 years of experience in operating room nursing, California license in hand, BLS certification, trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho experience, specific charting experience using Epic, and willingness to work 2 major holidays.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma level I or II, community hospital experience, and float flexibility within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required; travelers refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
  • Additional Information: Night shift coverage may be needed; candidates should have experience with complex surgical procedures such as vascular, neuro, plastics, and trauma cases. Candidates must submit two references covering one year within the last three years and include RTO restrictions at time of submission.
  • Certifications & Skills: BLS certification, proficiency in a variety of surgical procedures including trauma, neuro, vascular, general, and plastics surgeries, and experience with Epic charting system.
